first draft finished

Today we finished our first draft for our music video; there are a few things that we may need to change in order to get it to the high standard that we want. Our mise-en-scene, as the bedroom we have used is out of date and isn’t stereotypical of the young couple in our video. We also need to look at our performance parts throughout the video aren’t dynamic enough therefore, we need to add more dynamic shot variations and maybe add some coloured lights and smoke to liven up the performance.

Filming finished

Today we finished filming our last part of the video, we filmed the video in four parts, we did the first and last scene first then we did the third scene then today we finished the second scene, today all we have to do now is pick out the best bits of what we have filmed and then edit it and put it in the right order to finish our first draft.

These are the sort of instruments that we need to find for our performance art in the music video, we should be able to find most of these things in our music department if not we will have to find someone who we can borrow them off.

Costume research













We think that the best sort of clothing that our band members
should where would probably be dark jeans t-shirt and trainers,
as rock bands don’t have a set type of clothing they usually
where what they tend to like. Some of the clothing that
yellowcard have worn in pictures over the time of them being around.

Target Audience

By looking at a number of reviews for Yellowcard and their albums we found that punk pop has become very mainstream genre of music. This therefore shows our trget audience as being very mainstream. As the song is punk pop our video will appeal to people of the same age as all of Yellowcards other songs. This age is generally between 15 to 20 years old. Our target audience includes both sexualities but not all ethnicities. The social class of the target audience is bigger ranging from A to D. The target audience for Yellowcard is the main audience for music. As at that young age, youths often have money for albums and for concerts. With our video we are not looking to change the target audience from one a big as they already have.
